Mami came to my classroom. She made Epiphany bread for all of us to eat. The red fruit stands for myrrh, the green stands for frankincense, and the yellow stands for gold. These are the gifts the Three Kings brought for Baby Jesus. The reason it is Epiphany bread and not cake is because Baby Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, and Bethlehem means "House of Bread". So we make bread to remind us of his birth town plus also Jesus is the Bread of Life.
I am explaining to the class how I helped make Epiphany bread with my mom.
My mom brought a craft that we can make while she explained our family's tradition during Epiphany. We made our own paper Epiphany bread. Here we are adding paper jewels to our bread.
My mami is the best!
